An opportunity to see a unique and amazing natural phenomenon that does not exist anywhere in the world (except Iran…)
Long and impressive salt cave, full of wonderful salt formations.
You will enter the Cave from the top of Mount Sodom, by rappelling down 80 meter inside a natural Salt chimney
One of the most unique rappels!
Before starting our trip we will see Lot’s wife salt pillar.
Then, we will hike up on Mount Sodom on an exciting trail which includes iron ladders (about 30 minutes). During the climb, we will enjoy the astonishing view of the southern Dead Sea, the pools and the Jordanian Mountains.
We will reach the salt chimney. After a short rappel (5 meters) you will continue to a 80 meters rappel leads you into the wondrous Salt Cave.
The walls of the chimney are made of spiral clay and salt formations. Amazing rappelling experience!
We will walk, crawl, and pass through the amazing salt cave crossings to the exit, through a narrow opening, back to the Dead Sea.
Along the way we will see spectacular salt shapes, stalactite, and crystals of salt.
Meeting: at Neveh Zohar on road no 90.
Private tours are available every day and time.
* No previous experience with rappelling is required. Our professional guides will teach you all you need to know.
* Duration of activity: 5 hours
* Perfect all year round
Equipment: small backpack with Water (2 liers) and food for the day, closed hiking shoes/sport shoes, comfortable and long clothing (pants and shirt with long sleeves),
Head flashlight, gloves (Such as cycling gloves or working gloves)
Spare cloth – leave them in your car (since you will be dirty after cave)
* Temperature in the cave: +25°С all year round
Price for a Group Tour: 350 NIS per person.
Price for a Private Tour: 2500 NIS (1 guide – up to 8 people)
2 guides: 4000 NIS.
Price includes: licensed, qualified and experienced guides, Insurance, Alpines’ personal equipment (Helmet, Harness and so).
